Future

"Watch this space………"

Ever since our work began, Hungary has played an important role, often being a 'stepping stone' into Romania and Ukraine. Hungary, formely part of Eastern Europe is a natural link between West and East. Special friends, Istvan and family, from Budapest have provided fantastic hospitality, advice and support on numerous occasions over the years.

Recently friendships have been formed in the town of Debrecen which is strategically placed for Romania and Ukraine. Discussions have begun to assess the viability and value of establishing our charity in their town. It is hoped that Debrecen may become an 'operations base' for our humanitarian aid as well as a centre for cross cultural education, language training and even provide accommodation for UK teams travelling through. This is an ambitious project that will benefit a much wider network than Trans-mission Partnerships. Much work and fundraising is needed to enable this dream to become a reality!

Our humanitarian aid base will be specialised. Only functional medical equipment/supplies along with aid/equipment for 'special needs' will be stored. We hope this facility will re-ignite other groups/charities to take 'necessary' humanitarian aid to those who still desperately need it. Recipients will be responsible for paperwork and collection which is a totally new concept to previous experiences.

The 'Operations Centre' will be called "Seeds of Hope". Work in Romania and Ukraine will continue with the social projects forming local "Seeds of Hope" centres. In addition, it's anticipated that a 2nd video (or DVD) will be produced called "Seeds of Hope" to show individuals and groups with whom we're investing time and resources because 'they' are our hope for the future.
