Trans-mission Partnerships
We are back!
Peter Malkin and Paul King visited Romania this summer in order to be part of a ‘Trans-mission Partnerships’ network of Christians including several different charities, organisations and people from Cluj who are willing to do God`s work through social outreach. At the meeting that took place at the Rescue Centre, their words from Philippians 2 v 1-5 felt very real as each person showed humility, sharing from experiences and vision for God’s work. It was also a joy to visit projects. “Thank you”, says Peter and Paul!
Meeting together provides wonderful opportunity to share experiences, offer practical help with resources, express needs and simply be with others who can understand. At times, doing God’s work can be a lonely place and God wants us to encourage each other. And this is what this meeting did! It provided the opportunity to hear that we are not alone in doing God`s work and it also provided the wonderful oportunity to see how one charity can help another one in a different matter and a practical help with resources can be given with love to each other!
At the meeting we were all challenged to find someone who we could personally “invest in”. Pray God will give you someone who you can pray with, encourage and share experiences with. An example was Maria who” invested” in Alina (and still invests in her!) What a testimony Alina shared – three days in a box after being born...... WOW!
Back in the UK, Peter plans to set up a similar network for Christians doing God’s work through social outreach. The network will incorporate full time staff and volunteers. I hope we can also capture something of God’s spirit from Philippians 2 and the humility that Jesus shows.
“Can you picture something of the vision? These two networks from Romania and UK developing partnerships? The potential for teaching, sharing experiences, personal support, exchanges and friendships..... I hope you feel excited as I do! I hope you can see the vision of networking and partnerships? I hope you are encouraged. Let’s always remember, our work is for our great God. Resources and skills belong to him and we “Make His joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit….”, says Peter!
