Medical Service

Trans-mission Partnerships has worked alongside local medical services to acquire 'surplus' medical equipment destined to be thrown away. Equipment ranging from hospital beds, operating tables and drip stands to walking frames, anaesthetic machines and monitoring units.

After being cleaned, checked and stored in a dis-used wing if a local hospital, the equipment is taken to hospital in Ukraine. To facilitate partnership beween medical service in Warwickshire and the hospital in Ukraine, T-m-P invited two senior doctors from Ukraine to meet with senior officials here in the UK. During a visit to Svalyava Hospital, located in the Carpathia region of Ukraine, we were taken to their laundry room which housed old and dangerous washing and drying machines. Within a month, new machines were purchased and installed through the generousity of a T-m-P member.
